OPEN SPACE HOUSE

These clients came to us inspired by the barn architecture of the Northeast and with a beautiful lot that had some complicated restrictions. With a North and West facing aspect, the views of the Rattlesnake wilderness are amazing and the need for a tight and efficient envelope were significant. This led us to use our standard 9.5” double wall system and Pella triple pane windows to maximize the interior comfort of the home. The timbers and vaulted wood ceiling of the great room make it feel spacious but still warm and inviting while the quiet bedroom wing feels snuggled into the pine forests of Mount Jumbo. Lastly we snuck in a jewelry studio, small gym and cedar sauna in the daylight basement. Features: Pella windows, radiant floors, cle tile, standing seam roof, reclaimed timbers, RBM wood siding, Ortal fire place, Reclaimed timbers from Heritage timber.
